This folder contains
pidgin binary packages for the
maemo bora OS (Nokia N800 IT OS2007).
These are NOT official packages from the maemo extras repository. I've built them myself from the sources, obtained from the maemo extras sources repository.
I could not find any 2.5.X version of pidgin packages for the Bora platform, and so decided to build them myself.
These packages are expected to be identical to the
official ones for the chinook distribution, except they can be installed in OS2007 and additionally they fix a possible "Alarm clock" crash during startup of pidgin (you can see a ticket on this problem
here).
You can also find here the 2.4.3 versions of the pidgin packages for the bora platform, which also have this error fixed.

But please be warned, that these 2.5.4 and 2.5.5 packages are built not from maemo sources, obtained from the corresponding repository.
Sources to build them were generated semi-automatically from 2.5.1 original pidgin sources, 2.5.4 (or 2.5.5) original pidgin sources and 2.5.1 maemo-adapted sources, found in the maemo extras sources repository.
Due to a semi-automatical nature of these sources
I CANNOT GUARANTEE that packages, built from them,
WILL WORK CORRECTLY in any sense.
In order not to confuse anybody by mixing "good" 2.4.3-2.5.1 and "suspicious" 2.5.4+5 packages, I've moved the latter to a
separate page, where you may get more information on them and download them, if you wish.
